Background
I worked with a back end developer at CORNETT to build a website for GE Appliances Corporate on Big Commerce. To say it was a learning experience would be putting it lightly – we had to build a normal looking website on an e-commerce platform. I did the majority of the styling on the site and assisted the back end developer in building widgets for the client to use in the future to build their own pages. I gained a ton of experience thinking through how to build these widgets in a way a non-technical person would be able to use them and still allow for as much flexibility as possible.
I’ve included a link to the live site below, but I’d like to note that some time has passed since we launched the site and the client has taken over content updates and new page creation. Some pages may not be reflective of the work I previously did at site launch.
